Will I still have access to Ashby after I cancel?

Yes. Your access continues until the end of your current paid billing period. Ashby does not cut off access immediately upon submitting a cancellation notice.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

No. Ashby's Terms of Service (Section 3.1) explicitly state that customers are not entitled to any refund of subscription fees under any circumstances, including early cancellation.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

After account termination, you must stop using the service and delete or return all documentation. Ashby reserves the right to permanently erase all customer data if the account is terminated for 30 or more days (Section 4.6 of Terms). Export all data before your access ends.

How far in advance do I need to cancel to avoid auto-renewal?

You must provide written notice at least 30 days before your contract renewal date. Ashby subscriptions auto-renew for successive one-year periods unless either party opts out with 30+ days' written notice (Section 11.1 of Terms).

Can I reactivate my Ashby account after cancelling?

Yes, you can reactivate by contacting Ashby sales or support at support@ashbyhq.com. However, if your account has been terminated for more than 30 days, your data may have been permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Can I cancel Ashby mid-contract?

Ashby contracts are typically annual. You can submit a cancellation notice at any time, but access and billing continue until the end of the current contract period. There are no refunds for unused time, and early termination requires mutual agreement unless there is a material breach by Ashby.

Review your contract renewal date

Check your Ashby subscription contract for the renewal date. Per Ashby's Terms of Service (Section 11.1), written cancellation notice must be submitted at least 30 days before the renewal date, or the subscription auto-renews for another year.

Log in and export your data

Log in to your Ashby account at app.ashbyhq.com. Before cancelling, export all candidate data, reports, and documents you need to retain. Ashby permanently deletes all customer data 30+ days after account termination.

Contact your Ashby Account Manager

Reach out directly to your dedicated Ashby Account Manager (assigned when you signed up) to initiate cancellation. This is the primary cancellation path for enterprise customers. If you don't have their contact, email support@ashbyhq.com with subject line 'Subscription Cancellation Notice'.

Submit written cancellation notice

Send a formal written notice of cancellation via email to your account manager or support@ashbyhq.com. Include your organization name, account ID (found under Admin > Settings), and the intended cancellation/non-renewal date. This written notice is required by the Terms of Service.

Confirm cancellation acknowledgement

Wait for Ashby to confirm receipt and processing of your cancellation notice in writing. Keep this confirmation email for your records. Your access continues until the end of the current paid billing period.
