Will I get a refund for unused subscription time?

At the time of shutdown (October 31, 2022), Automate.io automatically refunded the cost of any unused subscription duration. If you are still being charged after that date, contact your bank to dispute the charges.

What happened to my automations and data?

All user data and automations were deleted when the service closed on October 31, 2022. There is no way to recover this data from Automate.io.

What alternatives replaced Automate.io?

Automate.io partnered with Zapier to offer 12 months free on paid plans to eligible former customers. Other alternatives include Make (formerly Integromat), n8n, and Pabbly Connect.

Who do I contact about unexpected charges?

First, contact your credit card company or bank to dispute the charge. You can also try reaching Notion (the acquirer) at support@notion.so with details of your Automate.io account and billing history.

Can I reactivate my Automate.io account?

No. The service is permanently shut down and cannot be reactivated. The Automate.io team joined Notion to work on Notion's internal automation features.

Automate.io was acquired by Notion in September 2021 and permanently shut down on October 31, 2022. The platform is no longer accessible. If you are seeing charges, skip to step 4.

Log in to Automate.io (historical process)

Before shutdown, users navigated to app.automate.io and logged in with their credentials.

Go to Account Settings → Billing

In the top-right user menu, click your profile avatar, then select 'Account Settings'. Navigate to the 'Billing' or 'Plan' tab to manage your subscription.

Downgrade to Free plan

On the Billing/Plan page, click 'Downgrade to Free' or select the Free tier from the pricing options. This was the primary cancellation method per Automate.io's terms of service.

Dispute unexpected charges with your bank

Since the service shut down October 31, 2022, any ongoing charges are erroneous. Contact your bank or credit card issuer to dispute and block future charges. Provide the merchant name 'Automate.io' or 'Notion'.

Contact Notion for billing support

As the acquiring company, Notion may handle residual billing inquiries. Visit notion.com and use their support chat or email support@notion.so referencing your Automate.io account.
