Will I lose access to Lightroom immediately after cancelling?

Access continues until the end of your current billing period. Adobe stores your original photos in the cloud for an additional 12 months after the plan ends, during which you can relaunch Lightroom solely to download your files. After that grace period, cloud-stored originals are deleted.

Is there a cancellation fee?

If you are on a free trial or a month-to-month plan, there is no cancellation fee. If you are on an annual plan paid monthly and cancel before the year is up, Adobe charges an early termination fee equal to 50% of the remaining monthly payments. Annual plans paid upfront can receive a prorated refund if cancelled within 14 days of purchase.

Adobe offers a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of your initial purchase (or within 14 days of a renewal charge for annual plans). After 14 days, no refund is issued for time already paid, but you retain access through the end of the billing period.

How do I cancel if I subscribed through Apple or Google?

If you purchased Lightroom through the Apple App Store, cancel via iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Adobe Lightroom → Cancel Subscription. If purchased through Google Play, cancel via the Play Store app → Subscriptions → Adobe Lightroom → Cancel. Adobe's website cannot cancel store-billed subscriptions.

Can I reactivate my Lightroom subscription after cancelling?

Yes. Sign back in to https://account.adobe.com/plans and choose a new plan at any time. Your previously edited photos and albums remain accessible in the app during the 12-month cloud-storage grace period, so reactivating before that window closes restores full access to your library.

What happens to my edited photos and presets after cancellation?

Lightroom-specific edits, presets, and metadata are stored in Adobe's cloud. During the 12-month grace period you can download original files. Edits (not just originals) may be lost permanently after the grace period expires unless you export them beforehand using File → Export or the 'Download Originals' option inside the app.

Go to Adobe Account Plans

Open a browser and navigate to https://account.adobe.com/plans. Sign in with the Adobe ID and password associated with your Lightroom subscription.

Locate your Lightroom plan

On the Plans page, find your Adobe Lightroom or Photography Plan. Click the 'Manage plan' button next to the plan you want to cancel.

Select 'Cancel plan'

In the plan management panel, scroll to the bottom of the available actions list and click 'Cancel your plan'.

Choose a cancellation reason

Adobe presents a survey asking why you are cancelling. Select the reason that best applies (e.g. 'Too expensive', 'Not using it enough') and click 'Continue'.

Review early termination fee warning

Adobe displays a summary of any early termination fee (ETF). If you are on an annual plan paid monthly and are still within the first year, cancelling early triggers a fee of 50% of your remaining balance. Review the amounts shown and click 'Continue to cancel'.

Decline or accept retention offer

Adobe may present a discounted offer (e.g. a reduced monthly rate or a plan pause) to persuade you to stay. Click 'No thanks, continue cancelling' or the equivalent dismissal link to proceed.

Confirm cancellation

On the final confirmation screen, review the access end date and any fee due. Click 'Confirm cancellation' to complete the process. You will receive a confirmation email from Adobe.
