How long does Backblaze keep my data after I cancel?

Backblaze retains your backup data for 30 days after cancellation. During this time, you can restore files. After 30 days, all data is permanently and irrecoverably deleted from Backblaze servers.

Can I restore my data before cancelling?

Yes. Before cancelling, request a restore from the Backblaze dashboard. You can download a ZIP file or have an external hard drive mailed to you (Restore by Mail service, available for a fee or refundable deposit).

Sign in to Backblaze

Go to backblaze.com and sign in with your email and password.

Go to My Settings

Click your account name or the gear icon in the top-right corner and select 'My Settings'.

Access Billing

Click the 'Billing' tab or 'View Billing Info' to see your subscription details and payment history.

Cancel Subscription

Scroll down to the 'Cancel Subscription' section and click 'Cancel Subscription'. Backblaze will warn you that all backed-up data will be deleted after a grace period.

Confirm Cancellation

Enter your password to confirm the cancellation. Backblaze will send a confirmation email. Your backed-up data is retained for 30 days, after which it is permanently deleted from Backblaze servers.
