Can I still use Snagit after I cancel?

Yes. After canceling, your Snagit access continues through the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again at the next renewal date.

Can I get a refund after canceling?

TechSmith offers a 14-day refund window from the date of purchase for subscriptions bought directly from TechSmith. Submit a refund request at https://www.techsmith.com/about/return.asp. You must uninstall the software first. No prorated refunds are given for cancellations after 14 days.

Can I undo a cancellation?

Yes. TechSmith allows you to reverse a cancellation at any time before the deactivation date. Log back in to https://manage.techsmith.com and look for the option to re-enable your subscription.

What happens to my Snagit captures and data after cancellation?

Your locally saved captures remain on your computer. After the subscription expires, you lose access to any subscription-only cloud features. It is recommended to export your Snagit Library before the subscription ends to avoid losing access to cloud-stored content.

I paid via PayPal — do I need to do anything extra?

Yes. If you enrolled via PayPal, you must also cancel the billing agreement directly in PayPal. Go to PayPal Settings → Payments → Manage automatic payments, find TechSmith, and cancel the agreement there.

I purchased Snagit through a reseller. Can I cancel through TechSmith's portal?

No. If you purchased through a reseller or retailer, you must contact that reseller directly to cancel and request any refunds. TechSmith's portal and refund policy only apply to purchases made directly through TechSmith.

Sign in to TechSmith account portal

Go to https://manage.techsmith.com and sign in with your TechSmith account credentials (email and password).

Locate your Snagit subscription

On the Dashboard, find the Snagit product listed under your subscriptions.

Open subscription options

Click the ellipsis button (...) next to the Snagit product, then select "View subscription" from the dropdown menu.

Open cancellation menu

Inside the subscription view, click the ellipsis button (...) again to reveal additional options.

Select Cancel subscription

Click "Cancel subscription" from the options menu.

Confirm cancellation

A confirmation popup appears explaining that access continues until the end of the billing period. Click the "Cancel subscription" button in the popup to finalize.
