Open Billing Reports

Go to console.cloud.google.com → click the navigation menu (☰) → select 'Billing' → click 'Reports'. Identify which Vertex AI resources are generating charges (endpoints, Workbench instances, training jobs, storage buckets).

Undeploy models and delete endpoints

Navigate to console.cloud.google.com/vertex-ai/endpoints. Click each endpoint name, then for each deployed model click the Actions menu (three-dot icon) → 'Undeploy model from endpoint' → confirm 'Undeploy'. Once all models are undeployed, click Actions → 'Delete endpoint'.

Delete training jobs and Workbench instances

Go to Vertex AI → 'Training' → Training Pipelines: click Actions → 'Delete training pipeline' for each. Then go to Vertex AI → 'Workbench' → 'Instances': select each instance → click 'Stop', then after it stops click 'Delete' to fully end storage charges.

Delete Cloud Storage buckets

Go to console.cloud.google.com/storage/browser and delete any buckets created by Vertex AI jobs (they are NOT auto-deleted and continue to incur charges independently). Click the bucket row checkbox → click 'Delete' → type the bucket name to confirm.

Disable the Vertex AI API

Go to console.cloud.google.com/apis/library/aiplatform.googleapis.com. Click the 'Disable API' button. In the confirmation dialog 'Disable Vertex AI API?' click 'Disable'. Note: charges may continue appearing for up to 24 hours after disabling.

Disable billing on the project (optional full stop)

Go to console.cloud.google.com/billing → click 'My Projects' tab. Find your project, click its Actions menu (three vertical dots) → select 'Disable billing' → click 'Disable billing' in the confirmation prompt. This immediately stops all Google Cloud services in the project.
