Log in to Mínar síður (self-service portal)
Go to https://minar.syn.is/ and log in using your Icelandic electronic ID (rafræn skilríki / kennitala). This is the self-service portal formerly operated under Vodafone Iceland, now rebranded as Sýn.
Attempt self-service or switch to contact form
Check your subscription settings in Mínar síður. If a cancellation option is not available directly, go to https://syn.is/hafa-samband (the official contact page) to submit a written cancellation request.
Fill in the contact form with your cancellation request
On the 'Hafa samband' (Contact Us) page, select the 'Einstaklingar' (Individuals) tab. Enter your kennitala (national ID), email, phone number, and type your cancellation request in the message field. State clearly you want to 'segja upp farsímaþjónustu' (cancel mobile service).
Note the 26th-of-month deadline
Cancellation notice must be received by the 26th of the month to take effect at the end of that month. If received after the 26th, cancellation is pushed to the following month-end. The billing period resets on the 1st of each month.

Request written confirmation
Ask for a confirmation email or reference number for your cancellation. Verify the exact cancellation date (effective date should be the 1st of the following billing month).
