Review your contract terms
Before initiating cancellation, locate your Brightcove service agreement or order form. Brightcove uses annual or multi-year enterprise contracts with specific notice periods (typically 30–90 days written notice before renewal). Check for auto-renewal clauses and the required notice deadline.
Log in to Brightcove Studio
Go to https://studio.brightcove.com and sign in with your account credentials. There is no self-service cancellation option in the UI — the portal is used only for content management, not subscription management.
Contact your Brightcove Account Manager
Reach out directly to the dedicated Account Manager or Customer Success Manager assigned to your account (found in your original contract or welcome email). This is the primary and often required channel for initiating cancellation under enterprise contracts.
Submit written cancellation notice
Send a formal written cancellation or non-renewal notice via email to your Account Manager and CC support@brightcove.com. State your account name, account ID (found in Studio under Admin > Account Information), the desired termination date, and that you are exercising your right to cancel or not renew.
Contact support if no account manager is assigned
If you do not have a named Account Manager, call Brightcove customer support at 1-888-882-1880 or submit a support ticket via https://supportportal.brightcove.com. Request account cancellation and ask for the correct escalation path.
Request written confirmation
Ask for a cancellation confirmation number or email confirming the termination date and that no further billing will occur after that date. Keep this for your records in case of billing disputes.
