Export your data before cancelling
Log in to your Ashby account at app.ashbyhq.com. Before requesting cancellation, export all candidate data, job postings, and reports using Ashby's built-in export tools. Ashby permanently erases customer data 30 days after account termination, so this must be done first.
Check your renewal date
Navigate to Account Settings to find your subscription renewal date. Ashby subscriptions auto-renew annually, and you must submit a written cancellation notice at least 30 days before your renewal date to avoid being charged for another full year.
Send a written cancellation request
Send an email to support@ashbyhq.com with a clear written cancellation request. Include your account name, the email address associated with the account, and the effective cancellation date you are requesting. If you are a Plus or Enterprise customer, also notify your dedicated account manager directly.
Await confirmation from Ashby support
Ashby support responds within 24 hours, 7 days a week. Wait for a confirmation email acknowledging your cancellation. Keep this confirmation for your records. If you do not receive a response within 24–48 hours, follow up by replying to your original email.
Confirm account closure and data deletion
Once cancellation is confirmed, stop all use of the service. Your account and all data will remain accessible during any remaining paid period. After that, Ashby will permanently delete customer data if the account remains inactive for 30 or more days.
