Go to Max account settings
Visit max.com and sign in with your account credentials. Click your profile icon in the upper-right corner, then select 'Settings' from the dropdown menu.
Open Subscription details
In the Settings menu, click on 'Subscription' to view your current plan, billing cycle, and who charges you. Confirm you are billed directly by Max (not Apple, Google, Amazon, or a TV provider) — if billed by a third party, you must cancel through that provider instead.
Click 'Cancel Subscription'
Scroll to the bottom of the Subscription page and click the 'Cancel Subscription' button or link.
Select a cancellation reason
A survey screen appears asking why you are leaving. Select any reason from the list (e.g., 'Too expensive', 'Not enough content', 'Taking a break'). This step is required to proceed.
Review retention offer
Max frequently presents a retention offer at this stage — typically 50% off for the next 3–6 months. Click 'Continue to Cancel' or 'No Thanks' to decline and proceed, or accept the offer if you want the discount.
Confirm cancellation
Click the final 'Confirm Cancellation' or 'Cancel Subscription' button to complete the process. You will receive a confirmation email. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
