Review your contract terms

Before calling, locate your Terminix service agreement and check whether you have a fixed-term contract (e.g. annual) or a month-to-month plan like PestFree365. Note your renewal date and any early termination clause — canceling before the term ends can trigger an Early Termination Fee (ETF).

Gather your account details

Have the following ready before calling: your account number (found on any invoice or in the My Account portal at terminix.com/my-account), the service address, and your billing information. This speeds up verification and reduces hold time.

Call 1-800-837-6464 (main line) or 1-855-485-6300 (customer care). When the automated system answers, say 'cancel service' or select the billing/account option. Ask to speak with a cancellation specialist. Have your account number ready.

Tell the representative: 'I would like to cancel my Terminix service agreement effective immediately.' Do not accept pauses or offers to 'put the account on hold' — this delays actual cancellation. If offered a discount or service credit to stay, decline firmly and restate your cancellation request.

Negotiate or dispute any Early Termination Fee

If the agent quotes an ETF (typically $50–$100 or a percentage of remaining contract value), ask to have it waived — especially if you can cite documented service failures or unresolved callbacks. Confirm equipment removal

Ask the agent to schedule removal of any bait stations, traps, or monitoring devices from your property. Confirm there is no separate equipment removal fee. Get the removal appointment date in writing.

Request written cancellation confirmation

Before ending the call, ask the agent to send a cancellation confirmation email to the address on your account. Note the representative's name, the date/time, and the effective cancellation date. If no email arrives within 48 hours, follow up at terminixcares@terminix.com.

Monitor your billing for two cycles

Check your bank or credit card statements for at least two billing cycles after cancellation. If any charge appears, dispute it immediately by calling 1-800-837-6464 and referencing your cancellation confirmation. Keep the confirmation email as documentation.
