Will I lose my content if I downgrade to the Free plan?

No. All your content and documents are preserved when you downgrade to Free. Only paid features and higher usage limits are removed.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Annual plans are eligible for a refund if requested within 30 days of the renewal date. Monthly plans are non-refundable. To request a refund, first downgrade to Free, then contact Prismic support via their support portal (prismic.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals) with your repository name and billing details.

Can I reactivate my paid plan after downgrading?

Yes. Since downgrading to Free keeps your repository intact, you can upgrade again at any time from Settings → Plans & Billing → Change plan.

What happens to my data if I delete the repository entirely?

Deleting the repository (Settings → Danger Zone → 'Delete the repository') is permanent and irreversible — all content is gone immediately. If you only downgrade to Free, your data is kept. Prismic may also delete stored data 60 days after account termination per their Terms of Service.

Can Prismic support cancel my subscription for me?

No. Per Prismic's official guidance, support cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf. You must complete the downgrade yourself through the repository Settings → Plans & Billing page.

What if my usage is too high to downgrade?

If your repository's API/CDN usage currently exceeds the free tier limits, the downgrade option will be blocked. You must wait until your monthly billing cycle resets the usage counters before you can switch to the Free plan.

Log in to Dashboard

Go to https://prismic.io/dashboard and log in to your Prismic account.

Open the repository

Click on the repository you want to cancel the paid plan for. Billing is per-repository, not per account.

Go to Settings

Click the gear icon or navigate to the 'Settings' menu inside the repository.

Open Plans & Billing

Click 'Plans & Billing' in the Settings sidebar. The direct URL pattern is https://{your-repo-name}.prismic.io/settings/plan

Click 'Change plan'

Click the 'Change plan' button on the Plans & Billing page.

Select the Free plan

Choose the Free (Personal) plan from the list. Note: you can only downgrade if your current usage (API calls, users, locales) fits within the free tier limits. If usage is over the limit, you must wait until the next billing cycle resets the counters.

Confirm the downgrade

Review the plan change summary and confirm. Your repository and all content will remain intact — only paid features and higher limits are removed.
