Export your data
Before cancelling, export your content. Go to a Collection and click the export button to download a .zip file, or use Card Manager to export cards as a .csv. Data is deleted 90 days after cancellation.
Check your renewal date
Go to Settings > Billing at https://app.getguru.com/settings/billing to find your next renewal date. You must submit a cancellation request at least 15 days before renewal (30 days recommended for annual plans) to avoid being charged for another cycle.
Contact Guru Support
Navigate to the Guru Support portal at https://portal.usepylon.com/guru. Alternatively, open the Guru web app, click Help in the navigation, then select 'Contact Guru Support'. You can also use the chat widget on help.getguru.com, or email billing@getguru.com directly.
Select billing topic
In the support form, select 'Choosing the right edition and other billing questions' from the topic dropdown. Enter your email address and company name.
Submit written cancellation request
Explicitly state in your message that you want to cancel your Guru subscription. Per their Terms of Service, cancellation must be submitted in writing. If emailing, send to billing@getguru.com with the subject 'Cancellation Request' and include your workspace/account name.
Complete the cancellation survey
Guru requires all cancelling subscribers to complete a short exit survey before processing the cancellation. Answer the survey questions and submit.
Receive cancellation confirmation
Wait for Guru's team to process your request and send a confirmation email. Ensure any outstanding invoices are settled — accounts with unpaid balances will not be closed until all amounts are cleared.
