Prepare written cancellation notice
Draft a written notice stating your intent to terminate your Oyster HR Service Agreement(s). Specify which service agreement(s) you are terminating. No specific format is required beyond it being in writing.
Email Legal@OysterHR.com
Send your written cancellation notice to Legal@OysterHR.com. This is the officially documented termination channel per Oyster's Terms of Use. Alternatively, contact your dedicated Account Manager or Customer Success Manager if you are on a Scale or annual plan.

Log in at app.oysterhr.com. From the main navigation, click 'Support Center'. On the Help Center page, click 'Submit a request' in the top-right corner and describe your cancellation request.
Oyster initiates offboarding
After receiving your notice, Oyster begins the formal termination process for each Team Member on your account per local employment law. Services continue through the actual termination date, which is at least 30 days from your written notice.
Resolve outstanding invoices and transition costs
Pay any remaining invoices, severance pay, notice-period pay, and unused vacation pay as required by local law in each employee's country. These Transition Costs vary significantly by country and can take weeks to months to fully resolve.
Deposit returned
Any unused service deposit is returned to you 30 days after all termination matters are fully resolved and outstanding balances are cleared.
