Go to Services & Subscriptions
Open a browser and navigate to https://account.microsoft.com/services. Sign in with the Microsoft account used to purchase the Microsoft 365 subscription if prompted.
Locate your Microsoft 365 subscription
On the Services & subscriptions page, find your Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, or Business plan in the list of active subscriptions.
Click 'Manage'
Click the 'Manage' link next to your Microsoft 365 subscription. This opens the subscription management page showing billing details and options.
Select 'Cancel subscription'
On the subscription management page, click 'Cancel subscription' (may also appear as 'Upgrade or Cancel'). If you only see 'Turn on recurring billing', your subscription is already set to expire and no further action is needed.
Review what you'll lose
Microsoft displays a summary page listing what you will lose access to (Word, Excel, OneDrive storage reduction to 5 GB, etc.) along with a potential retention offer such as a discounted rate to stay. Review this page carefully.
Confirm cancellation
Select 'I don't want my subscription' (or 'Continue to cancel') to proceed past the retention offer screen. Do not select 'I want to keep my benefits' unless you wish to stay subscribed.
Cancellation confirmed
Microsoft displays a confirmation screen showing the date your subscription access ends (end of current billing period). You will also receive a confirmation email at your Microsoft account email address.
