Will I lose access immediately after canceling?

No. Your subscription stays active through the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until that date.

Can I get a refund after canceling?

No. Comet ML's Terms of Service state that no prepaid fees are refunded. Any outstanding fees (including additional user charges) through the last day of the cancellation month are still due.

What happens to my data after cancellation?

Your account reverts to the free Community tier, which has shorter data retention limits. You should export all experiment data before canceling to avoid potential data loss due to free-tier pruning policies.

Can I reactivate my plan after canceling?

Yes. You can upgrade again at any time from the Billing tab in the Admin Dashboard. The 'Upgrade' button is available on the Community (free) tier.

Do I need to contact support to cancel?

No, for Starter plans cancellation is fully self-serve via the Admin Dashboard. Enterprise customers on negotiated contracts may need to contact their account representative to cancel.

Is there a free alternative to canceling entirely?

Yes. Comet ML offers a free Academic Pro plan for students, researchers, and educators that provides full Pro-tier features at no cost. There is also a free Community plan for all users.

Log in to Comet ML

Go to comet.com and sign in to your account. You must have Admin role in your organization to cancel the plan.

Open the Admin Dashboard

Click your avatar icon in the top-right corner of the interface, then select 'Admin dashboard' from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to Billing

In the Admin Dashboard, click the 'Billing' tab in the left-side navigation panel.

Go to the Overview sub-page

Inside the Billing section, make sure you are on the 'Overview' sub-page where your current plan details are displayed.

Click 'Cancel plan'

Locate the plan details section and click the 'Cancel plan' button. This button is visible for Starter and Enterprise plan holders; it does not appear on the free Community plan.

Confirm cancellation

Follow any on-screen confirmation prompts to finalize the cancellation. Your subscription remains active through the end of the current billing period.
