Sign in to AWS Management Console
Go to the AWS Management Console and sign in with the account linked to your Amazon Q Developer Pro subscription (formerly CodeWhisperer Professional). Note: Amazon CodeWhisperer was rebranded to Amazon Q Developer in April 2024.
Open Amazon Q Developer console
In the AWS Console, search for 'Amazon Q Developer' in the top search bar and open the service. Alternatively, navigate directly to: https://us-east-1.console.aws.amazon.com/amazonq/home#/subscriptions
Navigate to Subscriptions
In the left-hand navigation panel of the Amazon Q Developer console, click 'Subscriptions' to open the subscription management page.
Locate your subscription
Under the 'Builder ID users' section (for personal accounts), find your active Pro subscription. For organization accounts, go to the 'Identity provider users and groups' section, then select the 'Users' or 'Groups' tab and select the relevant entry.
Click Unsubscribe
For Builder ID personal accounts: click the 'Unsubscribe' button directly in the Builder ID users section. For organization admins: select the user or group, click 'More actions', then choose 'Unsubscribe' from the dropdown.
Confirm cancellation
A confirmation pop-up window will appear. Confirm the action to finalize the cancellation. Pro features are immediately revoked upon confirmation. Free tier access continues within its usage limits.
