Review your contract and renewal date
Locate the original signup email from Birdeye and review your contract. Find your renewal date and confirm whether an early opt-out clause is included — without one, Birdeye will not cancel your account before the contract term ends. Note that Birdeye requires written notice at least 90 days before the renewal date to avoid auto-renewal into another full term.
Confirm you are within the 90-day notice window
Calculate whether you are at least 90 days before your contract renewal date. If you miss this window, Birdeye will auto-renew your contract for the same duration (typically 12 months) and apply an automatic 8% 'Innovation Fee' increase. If you are already past the 90-day window, contact Birdeye immediately to understand your options.
Send a written cancellation request by email
Email support@birdeye.com with the subject line 'Account Cancellation Request'. Include your business name, account name, and a clear statement of your intent to cancel. Request written confirmation of your cancellation in return. Sending via email creates a documented paper trail — this is critical given reported patterns of ignored requests.
Call Birdeye support to reinforce the request
Call 1-800-561-3357 and press 3 for account specialists in North America. State your intent to cancel and reference the cancellation email you sent. Ask for the name of the representative and a ticket or case number. Immediately after the call, send a follow-up email to support@birdeye.com and billing@birdeye.com summarizing the call and reiterating your cancellation request.
Escalate via chat or support ticket if no response
If you receive no response within 3–5 business days, use the live chat widget on birdeye.com or your dashboard (powered by Intercom) to follow up. Alternatively, visit support.birdeye.com and click 'Create a Case' to submit a support ticket. Reference your previous email and call in all follow-up contacts.
Obtain written confirmation of cancellation
Do not consider cancellation complete until you receive a written confirmation email from Birdeye explicitly acknowledging your account will be closed. Monitor your payment method to ensure no further charges appear after the end of your contract term.
Request data deletion separately if needed
Account cancellation does not automatically delete your data. To request deletion of personal data under GDPR/CCPA, email privacy@birdeye.com separately and explicitly request data deletion. Birdeye's customer care team handles account deletion — there is no self-service data deletion option in the dashboard.
