End all active contracts
Before cancellation can proceed, you must close all active hourly and fixed-price contracts on your Enterprise account. Go to your Upwork dashboard, open each active contract, and use the 'End Contract' button to close them one by one.
Clear pending payments
Ensure all outstanding invoices and pending payments are settled. Navigate to 'Reports' > 'Billing' in your Enterprise dashboard and resolve any open payment items.
Withdraw open proposals
Withdraw any pending job proposals or open positions posted under your Enterprise account to ensure no new contracts can be initiated during the cancellation process.
Contact your dedicated account team
Upwork Enterprise does not have a self-service cancellation option. Contact your assigned Program Manager or Account Executive directly via email to initiate the cancellation. Request account closure in writing
Clearly state in your message that you wish to cancel your Upwork Enterprise subscription. Ask your account executive to confirm: (1) any notice period required under your contract, (2) any early termination clauses, and (3) the effective cancellation date.
Confirm cancellation and retain documentation
Wait for written confirmation from your account team that the Enterprise account has been closed. Save all confirmation emails or case numbers for your records. Note that the product has been rebranded as 'Lifted, an Upwork Company' — support may now reply from Lifted-branded email addresses.
