Understand the purchase model
Scapple is a one-time purchase (perpetual licence), not a subscription. There is no recurring billing to cancel. If you purchased through Literature & Latte's web store (via Paddle), you can request a refund within 30 days of purchase. If purchased via the Mac App Store or iOS App Store, refunds are handled entirely by Apple.
Determine where you bought it
Check your purchase confirmation email. If it came from Literature & Latte or Paddle (paddle.com), proceed with the steps below. If it came from Apple, go to reportaproblem.apple.com and request a refund there instead.
Go to the Literature & Latte contact page
Navigate to https://www.literatureandlatte.com/contact-us in your browser. This is the only supported channel for refund requests — Literature & Latte does not process refunds through their forums or social media.
Fill in the contact form
Select 'Sales / Purchasing' as the enquiry type. In the message field, state that you are requesting a refund for Scapple, include your order number or the email address used at purchase, and briefly state your reason. Submit the form.
Await confirmation from support
Literature & Latte's support team will review your request and process the refund if it is within the 30-day purchase window. Refunds are returned to the original payment method via Paddle. Response times are typically 1–3 business days.
Uninstall Scapple from your device
On macOS: drag Scapple from /Applications to Trash, then empty Trash. On Windows: go to Settings > Apps > Apps & Features, find Scapple in the list, click it, and select 'Uninstall'. Your serial number becomes void after a refund is issued.
