Can I still access content after cancelling?

Yes. Disabling auto-renewal keeps your access active through the end of your current paid billing period. After it expires, you can still log in to view your reading history and saved lists, but all premium content and summaries will be locked.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

getAbstract offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on annual web subscriptions. Monthly plans and gift subscriptions are not eligible. To request a refund, email info@getabstract.com. App store purchases must be refunded through Apple or Google directly.

How do I cancel if I subscribed via the App Store or Google Play?

getAbstract cannot cancel or process refunds for in-app purchases. You must cancel directly through Apple App Store settings or Google Play subscriptions — not through the getAbstract website.

Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Yes. You can re-enable auto-renewal at any time from the same 'My Account > renewal and payment options' page, or purchase a new subscription. Note that any previously held lifetime special rate may not be recoverable after a service interruption.

How do I delete my account entirely?

You cannot delete your account while an active subscription exists. Once your subscription expires, go to My Account → scroll to Privacy → click 'Delete Account'. Alternatively, email info@getabstract.com to request deletion. Deletion is irreversible and removes all reading history and saved data.

How far in advance do I need to cancel before my renewal date?

You must disable auto-renewal at least 24 hours before your scheduled renewal date. getAbstract sends a reminder email 30 days in advance to give you plenty of time.

Log in to your account

Go to https://www.getabstract.com/en/login and sign in with your credentials.

Open your profile menu

Click your profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

Go to My Account

Click 'My Account' from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to subscription settings

Find the 'My Subscription' section and click 'Options & Payment' (also referred to as 'renewal and payment options').

Disable auto-renewal

Click the 'Disable auto-renewal' button. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, then expire automatically. No further confirmation steps are required.
