Can I still use ClickUp after cancelling?

Yes. Your paid plan remains active until the end of your current billing period (month or year). After that, your workspace is downgraded to the Free Forever plan with limited features and storage.

Will I get a refund when I cancel?

ClickUp offers a 30-day satisfaction guarantee only for first-time purchases of a new plan. If you cancel within 30 days of your initial upgrade, you can receive a refund of the price difference back to your prior plan. Renewals, expansions, and plans purchased through a sales rep or reseller are not eligible. No prorated refunds are given for unused months on annual plans.

How do I reactivate my ClickUp subscription?

Go to your Workspace Settings → Billing and select an upgraded plan at any time. Your data and workspaces remain intact after downgrading, so reactivation restores full access immediately.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

Your data is retained and accessible on the Free Forever plan (subject to its storage and feature limits). If you want to permanently delete your account and all data, go to your avatar → My Settings → scroll to the bottom → Delete Account. This action is irreversible.

Do I need to cancel 30 days before my annual renewal?

Yes. ClickUp's terms require annual plan holders to notify them of any downgrade or cancellation at least 30 days before the renewal date. If you miss this window, the plan auto-renews for another 12 months and you will not receive a refund.

Can I cancel a ClickUp subscription purchased through the App Store?

No — App Store and Google Play subscriptions must be cancelled directly through Apple (iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → ClickUp → Cancel) or Google (Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ClickUp → Cancel). You cannot cancel these through ClickUp's website.

Open Workspace Settings

Log in at app.clickup.com. Click your Workspace avatar (logo) in the upper-left corner of the screen, then select 'Settings' from the dropdown menu.

Go to Billing

In the left sidebar under 'All settings', click 'Billing'. This section is only accessible to the Workspace Owner or a billing Admin.

Click 'Downgrade or Cancel plan'

Scroll down on the Billing page and click the 'Downgrade or Cancel plan' button. Note: ClickUp does not show a direct 'Cancel Subscription' button — cancellation is framed as a downgrade.

Select Free Forever (to cancel paid plan)

On the plan selection screen, choose 'Free Forever' (the $0 tier). This is the action that stops future billing. Do NOT click another paid tier unless you intend to switch plans.

Complete the cancellation survey

ClickUp presents a feedback/exit survey asking why you are leaving. Fill it out or skip if possible, then click 'Confirm Downgrade' or 'Cancel Plan' to proceed.

Confirm cancellation

Review the confirmation screen showing when your paid features will expire (end of current billing cycle). Click 'Confirm' to finalize. A confirmation email will be sent to your account email address.

Optional — disable auto-renewal instead

If you are on an annual plan and want to keep access through your paid period without immediately losing features, contact ClickUp Support via live chat or email (help@clickup.com) and ask them to 'disable auto-renewal' on your account instead of downgrading immediately.
