Do I lose my recordings and data when I cancel?

No. Downgrading to the Free plan keeps all your existing recordings, transcriptions, clips, and playlists. You only lose Premium features like advanced AI summaries, action items, and AI-drafted follow-up emails.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Fathom's Terms of Service state that all fees are non-refundable. You keep access through the end of your paid billing period but do not receive a prorated refund. Team and Business plans advertise a '90-day guarantee' — contact success@fathom.video for details.

How do I reactivate my Premium subscription?

Simply go to your billing settings and upgrade your Free account back to Premium at any time. If you fully deleted your account, you have a 30-day window to click 'Undo Cancellation' in Settings before data is permanently removed.

What happens to my data if I delete my account entirely?

If you delete your full Fathom account (not just downgrade), your data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Database backups may retain copies for up to 30 days per their Terms of Service.

How do I cancel a Team or Business plan?

Team and Business plan cancellations are not self-service. You must email success@fathom.video to request cancellation.

Can I cancel immediately and stop being charged right away?

The self-service cancellation stops future billing but keeps access until the end of your current billing period. For immediate termination, email help@fathom.video.

Log in to your account

Go to fathom.video and log in to your Fathom account.

Open Settings

Click on your account avatar or name in the top-right corner and select 'Settings' from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to the Premium Features section

Scroll down within Settings until you reach the 'Premium Features' section.

Click 'Downgrade to Free'

Click the 'Downgrade to Free' button in the Premium Features section to initiate the cancellation flow.

Confirm cancellation

On the confirmation screen, click 'Cancel Plan' to finalize. Fathom may ask for optional feedback on why you're leaving — this is not required to complete cancellation.

Verify cancellation

You will retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period. No further charges will be made. Check your billing page at fathom.video/manage_subscription/billing to confirm the cancellation is recorded.
