Log into the Portainer Knowledge Base Portal
Go to https://portal.portainer.io and sign in with your Portainer account credentials to access your subscription and licensing details.
Locate your subscription end date
Check your original purchase confirmation email or your account in the portal to identify your subscription term end date. You must provide written notice of non-renewal at least 60 days before that date.
Email the Portainer Success Team
Send an email to success@portainer.io clearly stating you wish to cancel (not renew) your Business Edition subscription. Include your account name, license key or order number, and the subscription end date. Request written confirmation of non-renewal.
Alternatively, submit a support ticket
If you prefer, log a support case at https://portal.portainer.io/knowledge/how-to-get-support-for-business-edition-customers using the 'Get Business Support' option, and request cancellation of auto-renewal there.
Await written confirmation
Wait for the Success team to confirm your non-renewal request in writing. Keep this confirmation for your records. Your Business Edition license will remain active until the current subscription term ends.
Downgrade to Community Edition after expiry (optional)
After your license expires, you can revert to the free Portainer CE by running your container with the '--rollback-to-ce' flag or performing a fresh CE install. Back up your data volume first.
