Can I cancel FOSSA online without contacting support?

No. FOSSA does not offer a self-service cancellation button. All cancellations and downgrades must be requested via email to support@fossa.com. Only plan upgrades can be done directly in the dashboard.

Will I get a refund when I cancel?

No. FOSSA's Terms of Service state that all fees and charges are earned upon receipt and are nonrefundable. You retain access through the end of your paid billing period, but no partial refunds are issued.

What happens to my projects and data after cancellation?

If you downgrade to the Free plan, you retain access to up to 5 projects and 10 contributing developers. If you fully cancel, FOSSA may retain logs and metadata per their Privacy Policy. You can also request full account or organization deletion by emailing support@fossa.com.

How do I delete my FOSSA account or organization entirely?

Email support@fossa.com from your registered email and request account or organization deletion. Only the org administrator can request org deletion. Include your organization name or OrgID. There is no in-app deletion option.

Yes. You can contact sales@fossa.com or support@fossa.com to reactivate a paid plan at any time. If you downgraded to Free, you can also upgrade directly from the FOSSA dashboard.

Check your renewal date

Log in to your FOSSA dashboard and check your current billing cycle. Annual plans require written notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before the term ends — missing this window auto-renews you for another full year.

Compose cancellation email

Open your email client and write to support@fossa.com from the email address registered on your FOSSA account. For Enterprise plans, also CC sales@fossa.com.

State your cancellation request clearly

In the email, specify that you want to cancel your paid subscription (or downgrade to the Free plan). Include your organization name or OrgID to help the support team locate your account.

Wait for support team confirmation

FOSSA's support team (support@fossa.com) will process your request manually. Support is available during business hours Pacific Time. Wait for a confirmation reply before assuming the cancellation is complete.

Revoke Fossabot GitHub access (optional)

After cancellation, FOSSA recommends revoking the Fossabot GitHub integration access from your GitHub organization settings to fully disconnect FOSSA from your repositories.
