Do I still have access to Rytr after canceling?

Yes. You retain full access to your paid plan's features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account automatically reverts to the Free plan, which includes 10,000 characters per month.

Can I get a refund when I cancel?

No. Rytr's policy states all subscriptions are non-refundable and they do not prorate fees for subscriptions canceled before the end of the billing term. Refunds are only considered at the company's sole discretion in exceptional circumstances.

Can I reactivate my subscription after canceling?

Yes. You can log back into app.rytr.me at any time and subscribe to a new plan. Your previously generated content should still be accessible.

What happens to my data and generated content after cancellation?

Your content remains accessible on the free tier after your paid period ends. To request full deletion of your personal data, contact support@rytr.me directly.

Can I cancel an annual plan before it expires?

Yes, you can cancel an annual plan at any time, but no prorated refund is issued for the remaining months. You will continue to have access until the annual period's end date.

What if I can't find the Cancel Subscription button in my account?

If you cannot locate the cancellation option in Settings > Plan, you can also try clicking the 'Manage Billing' button (which opens the Stripe billing portal) or contact Rytr support directly at support@rytr.me to request cancellation.

Log in to Rytr

Go to https://app.rytr.me and sign in to your account.

Open Settings

Click on the Settings option in the dashboard navigation (typically accessible from your account/profile area in the left sidebar or top menu).

Go to the Plan tab

Inside Settings, click the 'Plan' tab to view your current subscription details and usage.

Click 'Cancel Subscription'

On the Plan tab, click the 'Cancel Subscription' button. This will trigger the ChurnKey cancellation flow.

Complete the cancellation survey

Rytr uses ChurnKey to show a cancellation flow. Select your reason for leaving from the survey options presented.

Decline any retention offers

Based on your reason, you may be offered a discount, a plan pause, or a plan downgrade. Click through or decline these offers if you wish to proceed with cancellation.

Confirm cancellation

Click the final confirmation button to complete the cancellation. Your subscription will not renew at the next billing date, and you retain access through the end of your current paid period.
