Will I be charged for the rest of the month if I delete a fixed-plan database mid-cycle?

No. Fixed-plan databases are billed pro-rata for the days they were active. You will only be charged for the days the database existed, not for the remainder of the billing period.

What happens to my data when I delete my account?

All data is permanently deleted. Upstash notes a potential 6-month cancellation period during which you may be able to undo the deletion request from the Console, but once that window passes the deletion is irreversible.

Can I reactivate my account after deletion?

Possibly, if you act within the 6-month cancellation window. During this period you may cancel the deletion request from the Upstash Console. After the window closes, the account and all data are permanently gone.

Do I need to delete all databases before closing my account?

Yes. All databases and clusters must be individually deleted before the 'Delete Account' option becomes available in Account > Settings.

What if I just stop using Upstash without deleting anything?

On Pay-As-You-Go plans, no usage means no charges. However, fixed-plan databases continue to incur the monthly fee as long as they exist, so you must delete them to stop billing.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Upstash does not publish a formal refund policy. For refund requests, contact support@upstash.com directly.

Log in to the Upstash Console

Go to console.upstash.com and sign in to your account.

Delete each database

Select each database from the list. On the database's Details page, scroll to the bottom and click 'Delete this database'. A confirmation modal appears — select a reason and confirm. Repeat for every database and cluster in your account.

Navigate to Account Settings

Click on your account avatar or name in the top-right corner, then select 'Account' from the dropdown menu.

Open the Settings tab

Inside Account, click the 'Settings' tab.

Delete your account

Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page and click 'Delete Account'. All databases and clusters must already be deleted — this option is only available once all resources have been removed. Confirm the deletion in the prompt.
