What happens to my passwords if I cancel?

After cancellation, your 1Password account enters a frozen/read-only state. You cannot add or edit items, but you can still access and view your passwords for a period before account deletion. Export your data before cancelling.

Can I export my passwords from 1Password?

Yes. In 1Password, go to Settings → Export to download all your vault data as a CSV or 1PIF file. Do this before cancelling to ensure you do not lose any stored credentials.

Is there a free version of 1Password?

1Password does not offer a permanent free tier for personal use. It offers a 14-day free trial for new users. If you have the 1Password Families plan, reducing to an individual plan may lower your costs.

Sign in to 1Password

Go to my.1password.com and sign in with your account email, password, and Secret Key.

Go to Billing

Click your account name or email in the top-right corner and select "Billing" from the dropdown to view your subscription details.

Cancel subscription

In the Billing section, click "Cancel Subscription" or "Cancel Plan". 1Password will show you your current access end date.

Export your data first

Before confirming, it is strongly recommended to export your vault data: go to "Export" in Settings to download a CSV or 1PIF backup of all your passwords.

Confirm cancellation

Complete the cancellation flow and confirm. Your 1Password account will enter a read-only state after the subscription ends, then be deleted after 365 days if not renewed.
