Will I lose my data when I cancel?

No. All your data stays intact after downgrading. However, if your bases exceed Free plan limits (1,000 records per base, 1 GB attachment storage), you won't be able to add new records or attachments until usage drops below those limits. Paid features like automations and extensions will also stop working.

Can I get a refund after canceling?

Generally no. For monthly plans, no refund is issued for the current month. For annual plans, Airtable may issue store credits (not cash) for unused months, usable only for future Airtable upgrades. Exception: users in the EU or Turkey can request a full cash refund within 14 days of purchase under local consumer protection law.

When does my paid access end after canceling?

You keep full paid plan access until the end of your current billing cycle. The downgrade to Free does not take effect immediately — you can verify the scheduled downgrade date in the 'Workspace plan' section of your billing settings.

Can I reactivate my subscription after canceling?

Yes. You can upgrade a workspace back to any paid plan at any time. Your data is fully preserved during the free period, so nothing is lost if you decide to reactivate later.

What if I just delete my Airtable account — does that cancel billing?

No. Deleting your user account does NOT stop charges. You must first downgrade all paid workspaces to the Free plan. Only after that should you delete your account if desired.

Who can cancel an Airtable workspace subscription?

Only the designated workspace Owner can change the billing plan. Regular collaborators or members do not have access to billing settings and cannot cancel on your behalf.

Log in on desktop web

Go to https://airtable.com and sign in. Billing management is not available on the mobile app — you must use a desktop web browser.

Open your paid workspace

From the home screen, locate the workspace you want to cancel. Click the workspace name to open it.

Open Workspace Settings

Click the workspace name or the dropdown arrow next to it and select 'Workspace settings' from the menu.

Go to the Billing tab

Inside Workspace Settings, click the 'Billing' tab to view your current plan and payment details.

Click 'Change plan'

Under the 'Workspace plan' section, click the 'Change plan' button.

Select the Free plan

Choose 'Free' (shown as 'Downgrade to Free' or 'Choose free') from the available plan options.

Confirm the downgrade

Complete the on-screen confirmation flow. Your paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing cycle, then switches to Free automatically.

Repeat for each paid workspace

Billing is per workspace, not per account. If you own multiple paid workspaces, repeat steps 2–7 for each one. There is no bulk cancel option.
