What happens to my Eight Sleep Pod after I cancel the Autopilot subscription?

Your Pod hardware continues to work, but you lose access to all smart features: automatic temperature adjustment, sleep tracking, vibration alarm, and personalized sleep insights. You retain only manual temperature control via the app.

Will I get a refund when I cancel?

Eight Sleep does not appear to offer prorated refunds for unused subscription time. The subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. Hardware returns require initiation within 30 days of receipt, and orders can only be cancelled within 24 hours of shipment.

Can I reactivate my Autopilot subscription after cancelling?

How long does it take for the cancellation to take effect?

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You retain full Autopilot access until that date, after which features revert to manual-only mode.

Open the Eight Sleep app

Launch the Eight Sleep app on your iOS or Android device. Make sure you are logged into the account associated with your Autopilot subscription.

Tap your Profile icon

Tap the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar or the top-right corner of the home screen to access your account settings.

Go to Membership or Subscription settings

Inside your profile, locate and tap 'Membership' or 'Subscription' (labelled as 'Autopilot' plan details). This shows your current plan tier (Standard, Enhanced, or Elite) and billing details.

Select 'Cancel Autopilot' or 'Cancel Subscription'

Tap 'Cancel Autopilot' or 'Cancel Subscription' button. Eight Sleep may display a warning screen listing features you will lose (temperature scheduling, sleep tracking, vibration alarms) — tap through to continue.

Confirm cancellation

Confirm your cancellation when prompted. You may be shown a retention offer or asked to provide a reason for cancelling. Select your reason and confirm to finalize the cancellation.

Alternative: Cancel via website

If you prefer the web, log in at eightsleep.com, navigate to Account Settings → Subscription Management, and click 'Cancel Subscription' next to your Autopilot plan, then follow the prompts.

Alternative: Cancel via Apple App Store or Google Play

If your subscription was billed through Apple, go to iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Eight Sleep → Cancel Subscription. For Google Play, go to Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Eight Sleep → Cancel.
