When did Around shut down?

Around officially reached end of life on March 31, 2025. The service was acquired by Miro in June 2022 and shut down so Miro could integrate its features into Miro Video Calls. The website and all Around services are no longer accessible.

Can I still access my Around recordings and data?

No. All user recordings and data became inaccessible after March 31, 2025. Users were advised to download their recordings before the shutdown date. There is no way to retrieve data from the service at this point.

Who do I contact if I'm still being billed for Around?

Contact Miro support at support@miro.com, as Miro was the parent company and the only active support channel. If that doesn't resolve the issue, dispute the charges directly with your bank or credit card issuer, since the service is permanently defunct.

Can I reactivate my Around account?

No. Around is permanently shut down and cannot be reactivated. Miro directs former Around users to use Miro Video Calls as the successor product.

Am I entitled to a refund for unused subscription time?

Around's refund policy at shutdown was not publicly documented. Miro's general policy does not offer refunds for unused subscription periods. If you were charged after the March 31, 2025 shutdown, you have strong grounds to dispute those charges with your bank.

What replaced Around?

Miro Video Calls is the successor product. When Miro acquired Around, the goal was to integrate Around's video calling features (like AI summaries and spatial audio) directly into the Miro collaborative whiteboard platform.

Around (around.co) permanently shut down on March 31, 2025, after being acquired by Miro in 2022. The service is no longer active and the website is offline.

Check for ongoing charges

If you are still seeing charges after March 31, 2025, first check whether your subscription was managed through Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), as app store subscriptions may continue independently.

Cancel via Apple App Store (if applicable)

On iPhone/iPad: go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions, find 'Around', tap it, then tap 'Cancel Subscription'.

Cancel via Google Play (if applicable)

On Android: open Google Play Store > tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions, find 'Around', tap 'Cancel subscription'.

Contact Miro support for billing issues

If charges persist and you cannot cancel via your app store, contact Miro (the parent company) at support@miro.com and reference your Around subscription. Miro handled all billing for Around.

Dispute unauthorized charges with your bank

If you continue to be charged for a service that is permanently shut down, contact your bank or credit card issuer to dispute the charges as unauthorized and request a chargeback.
