What happens to my retainers and optional paid services?

Retainer services and other optional paid services will be suspended when your subscription expires. The retainers themselves and their inventories are retained and become accessible again upon reactivation.

How do I reactivate my subscription?

Go to Mog Station

Open your browser and navigate to https://www.mogstation.com. This is the Square Enix account portal for managing your FFXIV subscription.

Log in with your Square Enix Account

Enter your Square Enix Account username and password. If you have Two-Step Verification enabled, complete that step as well.

Select your Service Account (if prompted)

If you have multiple service accounts linked to your Square Enix Account, you will see a service account selection screen. Select the correct account and click 'Use This Service Account'.

Open Service Account Status

On the Mog Station home screen, locate the left-hand menu and click 'Service Account Status'. This page shows your current subscription details.

Click 'Cancel Subscription'

Under the Service Account Status section, click the 'Cancel Subscription' button. IMPORTANT: Do NOT click 'Cancel Service Account' — that will permanently delete your characters and remove all registered serial keys from your account. Only click 'Cancel Subscription' to stop recurring billing.

Confirm the cancellation

Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your cancellation. After confirming, Square Enix will send a confirmation email to the address registered to your account.
