When does my A1 Internet contract actually end after I cancel?

A1 requires 1 month's notice to the end of the calendar month (1 Monat zum Monatsende). For example, if you submit your cancellation on November 5, your contract ends December 31. If you're still within the 24-month binding period, the contract runs until the end of that period — you cannot exit early without paying all remaining monthly fees.

Is there a cancellation fee or early termination penalty?

A1 does not charge a flat exit fee, but if you cancel during the 24-month binding period (Mindestvertragsdauer), you must continue paying monthly fees until the contract term ends. There is no discounted buyout. After the binding period, you can cancel with 1 month's notice at no penalty.

Prepare a cancellation letter
