Will I lose access immediately after cancelling?

No. Your paid plan remains active until the end of your current billing cycle. After that, your account automatically downgrades to the free plan (limited to 1 active coaching client), and you are not charged again.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

No. Trainerize does not offer refunds for any unused portion of a subscription period. Cancellation stops future billing only — there is no prorated refund for the current cycle.

Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Yes. If you downgraded to the free plan rather than deleting your account, you can reactivate a paid plan at any time from the Billing section in Settings. All your existing programs and workouts are preserved.

What happens to my clients when I cancel?

Your first 200 clients move to Basic status on the free plan. Any clients beyond 200 are deactivated and lose app access. All paid add-ons (nutrition, video coaching, payments, custom branded app) are removed when the paid plan ends.

How do I permanently delete my account and data?

Go to Settings > Billing, scroll to the bottom, and click 'Permanently remove my Trainerize business'. Complete the exit survey, click 'Delete My Business', and enter your password to confirm. This is irreversible — all data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

I'm a client of a trainer — how do I cancel my training program?

If your trainer has enabled self-cancellation, log in to the web version of Trainerize, go to 'My Purchases', find the recurring product, and cancel it there. If self-cancellation is not enabled, you must contact your trainer or gym directly — Trainerize support cannot cancel trainer-sold products on your behalf.

Log in to the web app

Go to app.trainerize.com and sign in to your ABC Trainerize account. Cancellation must be done via the web app — it cannot be completed through the mobile app.

Open Settings

Click 'Settings' in the bottom-left corner of the dashboard.

Go to Billing

Click 'Billing' in the Settings menu to open your subscription management page.

Find your Base Subscription

Locate the 'Base Subscription' section on the Billing page. Your current plan and renewal date will be shown here.

Click 'Cancel auto-renew'

Click the 'Cancel auto-renew' button in the bottom-right of the Base Subscription section. If you have any paid add-ons (Advanced Nutrition, Video Coaching, Stripe Payments, Custom Branded App), repeat this step for each one — they each have their own separate 'Cancel auto-renew' button.

Complete the exit survey

Fill out the mandatory downgrade survey that appears before the cancellation is finalised. You must complete this survey to proceed.

Confirm cancellation

Confirm the cancellation. Your paid plan stays active until the end of the current billing cycle, after which the account automatically downgrades to the Free plan (1 active client).
