Will I lose access to premium features immediately after cancelling?

No. Your premium features remain active until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again after that.

Does RescueTime offer refunds?

RescueTime does not advertise a standard refund policy. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle with no further charges. For refund requests, contact support@rescuetime.com.

Does uninstalling the app cancel my subscription?

No. Deleting or uninstalling the RescueTime app from your computer or mobile device does NOT cancel your subscription. You must cancel via Account Settings on the website.

Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Yes. You can reactivate at any time by logging back in to rescuetime.com and resubscribing through the Billing section of Account Settings.

What happens to my data after cancellation?

Your account and historical productivity data are retained after cancellation, but access to premium reports and features may become limited. You can optionally delete your account entirely as a separate step from cancellation.

I subscribed via the Apple App Store — how do I cancel?

You must cancel through Apple in addition to (or instead of) the RescueTime website. Go to iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → find RescueTime → tap 'Cancel Subscription'.

Log in to RescueTime

Go to rescuetime.com and log in to your account with your email and password.

Open Account Settings

Click your name or profile icon in the top-right corner of the page to open the dropdown menu, then select 'Account Settings'.

Navigate to Billing

In the left-side navigation menu within Account Settings, click 'Billing'.

Click 'Cancel your subscription'

On the Billing page, locate and click the 'Cancel your subscription' link or button on the right-hand side of the page.

Complete feedback survey (if prompted)

You may be shown a brief feedback survey asking why you are cancelling. Fill it in or skip if the option is available.

Confirm cancellation

A confirmation popup will appear. Click 'Confirm' or 'Cancel Subscription' to finalise the cancellation. Your premium access continues until the end of the current billing period.
