Do I lose access immediately after cancelling?

Yes, your paid subscription ends immediately when you downgrade to the Free plan. You are not charged further, and any unused time is prorated and credited on your next bill.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

A full refund is available within the first 30 days of your initial subscription. After 30 days, charges are generally non-refundable, though unused prorated amounts may be credited to your account. You can contact support@chromatic.com to request a goodwill refund for the current month.

What happens to my snapshots and data on the Free plan?

You retain access to your account and existing snapshots, but your monthly snapshot allowance drops to 5,000 (Chrome only). If you exceed the free limit, new snapshot testing pauses until the next month or you upgrade.

Can I reactivate my paid plan later?

Yes. Go to Billing in the left side menu, click 'Update Plan', choose a paid tier, and confirm. Your subscription resumes immediately with the new plan's snapshot allowance.

How do I cancel an Enterprise plan?

Enterprise subscriptions cannot be cancelled self-serve. Contact Chromatic support via the in-app chat or email support@chromatic.com to initiate cancellation.

Will my team members lose access if I cancel?

All team members will be moved to Free plan limits (5,000 snapshots/month, Chrome only). No members are removed, but features exclusive to paid plans (additional browsers, accessibility tests, priority support) will no longer be available.

Log in to Chromatic

Go to https://www.chromatic.com and log in to your account.

Open Billing

From the left side menu of the Chromatic dashboard, click 'Billing'.

Click 'Update Plan'

On the Billing page, press the 'Update Plan' button to open the plan selection screen.

Select the Free plan

Choose the 'Free' plan option from the list of available plans.

Confirm the change

Press the 'Change' button to confirm. Your paid subscription ends immediately and a prorated refund for unused time will appear on your next billing statement.
