Will I lose access immediately after cancelling?

No. Your paid plan remains active until the end of your current billing period. After that, the workspace automatically reverts to the free tier.

Can I get a refund when I cancel?

No. Rive's Terms of Service explicitly state that user-initiated cancellations are not entitled to any refund of fees already paid. Refunds are only issued if Rive itself terminates your account for reasons unrelated to a terms violation.

What happens to my files after cancellation?

You and your team members can still view files but lose the ability to edit them once the billing period ends. If you fully delete your account, Rive deletes your profile and content approximately 90 days after cancellation. Content you contributed to teams or that others have forked from the Community is not deleted.

Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Yes. You can upgrade the workspace again at any time through rive.app/account to restore full editing access.

Can I cancel by email instead of through the website?

Yes. You can email support@rive.app to request cancellation if you prefer not to use the self-service flow.

What if I need to make other account changes after initiating cancellation?

Once a cancellation is set, Rive locks other account changes until the cancellation fully processes. Contact support@rive.app to have the pending cancellation removed first if you need to make changes.

Log in to Rive

Go to rive.app and log in to your account.

Open Account Settings

Navigate to rive.app/account, or click your profile avatar in the top-left corner and select "Manage Account" from the dropdown menu.

Locate your workspace

In the left sidebar under "Your Plans", find the paid workspace you want to cancel. Each workspace is billed separately, so identify the correct one.

Click "Manage Workspace"

On the right side of the paid workspace row, click the "Manage Workspace" button to open workspace settings.

Click "Cancel Plan"

Inside the workspace management panel, click "Cancel Plan" on the right side. This will redirect you to a secure Stripe payment portal.

Confirm cancellation on Stripe

On the Stripe portal page, click "Cancel Plan" to confirm your cancellation. The subscription will be set to not renew at the end of the current billing cycle.
