Will I still have access after cancelling?

Yes. Your subscription remains active and you retain full Pro access until the end of your current billing period (monthly or annual). After that, your account automatically reverts to the Free plan, which limits you to 10 transfers and 3 GB shared per 30-day period.

What happens to my files and transfers after cancellation?

After your paid plan expires, WeTransfer keeps all your active transfers online for up to 28 days. After this grace period, any remaining active transfers are permanently deleted with no possibility of recovery unless you resubscribe to a paid plan before the grace period ends.

Refund requests for weekly and monthly plans must be submitted within 20 days of the contested charge. Annual plan users in the European Economic Area or UK can request a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of their subscription period even beyond 60 days. Refunds are credited only to the original payment method and take 5–10 business days to appear. Enterprise customers who purchased through the sales team are not eligible.

How do I cancel if I subscribed through the iOS App Store or Google Play?

If you subscribed via iPhone/iPad, go to iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → WeTransfer → Cancel Subscription → Confirm. On Android, open Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions → WeTransfer → Cancel Subscription. WeTransfer's own website cannot cancel app store subscriptions.

Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Yes. You can resubscribe at any time by logging into your account and choosing a new plan. You may need to re-enter your payment details. Reactivating before the 28-day grace period ends may restore access to your active transfers.

How do I cancel a WeTransfer subscription paid via PayPal?

Log in to PayPal, go to Settings → Payments → Manage Automatic Payments, find 'WeTransfer' or 'WeTransfer BV', and cancel the agreement there. This stops future billing but does not change your WeTransfer account status directly — your plan continues until the end of the billing period.

Go to wetransfer.com and log in to your paid WeTransfer account.

Open your Workspace menu

Click on your Workspace name in the top-left or top-right corner of the dashboard.

Go to Account settings

Select 'Account settings' from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to Plan and payment

Click on the 'Plan and payment' tab in the left-hand settings menu.

Click Manage plan

Click the 'Manage plan' button on the plan overview page.

Scroll to Cancel plan section

Scroll down the page to find the 'Cancel plan' section. Tick the disclaimer checkbox acknowledging what you will lose.

Click Cancel subscription

Click the 'Cancel subscription' button. A confirmation pop-up will appear.

Confirm cancellation

In the pop-up dialog, scroll down and click the red 'Cancel plan' button to finalize the cancellation. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
