Will I lose access immediately after cancelling?

No. Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing cycle. You retain full access until that date.

Can I get a refund when I cancel?

Monthly subscribers can request a full refund within 30 days of their first activation by emailing support@missiveapp.com. After 30 days, no refunds are issued for unused time. Annual plan fees are non-refundable once enrolled.

What happens to my data after cancellation?

Missive keeps your data available for electronic retrieval for 30 days after cancellation. After that window, your data may be permanently deleted.

Can I reactivate my subscription later?

There is no documented formal reactivation process. Instead of cancelling, consider downgrading to the Free plan from Settings > Billing — this stops charges while keeping your account intact for easy reactivation.

Who is allowed to cancel the subscription?

Only the organization owner has access to billing settings and can cancel the subscription.

Is there a free plan I can switch to instead of cancelling?

Open Missive on Desktop

Launch the Missive desktop app or open the web app in a browser. Note: billing management is only available on desktop — mobile apps do not provide access to billing settings.

Click Your Avatar

Click your profile avatar in the lower-left corner of the sidebar to open the account menu.

Open Settings

Select 'Settings' from the dropdown menu (keyboard shortcut: Cmd+, on Mac).

Go to the Billing Tab

In the Settings panel, click on the 'Billing' tab in the left navigation.

Click 'Cancel subscription'

Scroll to find and click the 'Cancel subscription' button on the Billing page.

Confirm Cancellation

Follow the on-screen confirmation prompts to complete the cancellation. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
