Will I lose my error data when I cancel?

No data is immediately deleted. Your account downgrades to the free plan, which retains only 7 days of data. Event data older than 7 days becomes inaccessible under the free tier limits, but is not instantly purged at cancellation.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Bugsnag's terms (SmartBear Master Solutions Agreement) state that payment obligations are non-cancellable and fees are non-refundable. No mid-cycle refunds are issued for monthly or annual plans. Contacting support at bugsnag.com/support may yield a goodwill credit in exceptional cases.

Can I reactivate my paid plan after cancelling?

Yes. Your account remains active on the free tier after cancellation. You can upgrade to a paid plan at any time from the 'Manage billing' section in Organization Settings.

What happens to my team members when I cancel?

All collaborators keep their individual Bugsnag user accounts. They will lose access to paid features but remain in the system. If you delete the organization entirely (separate from cancelling), all project data is permanently removed.

I added Bugsnag through Heroku or another platform — how do I cancel?

If Bugsnag was provisioned as an add-on through a third-party platform like Heroku, you must cancel through that platform's add-on management interface, not through the Bugsnag dashboard directly.

How do I delete my account entirely, not just cancel my subscription?

To delete your user account, go to User Settings (press 'g' then 'u') and click 'Delete my user account'. To delete your entire organization and all its data, go to Organization Settings and click 'Delete organization'. Both actions are permanent and irreversible.

Log in to Bugsnag dashboard

Go to app.bugsnag.com and log in with your account credentials.

Open Organization Settings

Click your organization name or avatar in the top-right corner of the dashboard, then select 'Organization Settings'. Alternatively, press the keyboard shortcut 'g' then 'o'.

Click 'Manage billing'

In the left sidebar under the billing section, click 'Manage billing'.

Click 'Cancel my subscription'

On the billing page, click the 'Cancel my subscription' button.

Confirm cancellation

Confirm the cancellation when prompted. Your account will be immediately downgraded to the free plan and no further charges will apply.
