What is the difference between 'Deactivate' and 'Stop now'?

'Deactivate' allows the subscription to remain active through the end of the current billing period, after which it expires. You can restore it before expiry. 'Stop now' terminates the service immediately and is irreversible for the current subscription term, but you receive a prorated refund for unused days.

Will I get a refund if I cancel early?

Only if you choose 'Stop now'. A refund proportional to the number of unused service days is credited back to the original payment card used for the subscription. The 'Deactivate' option does not issue a refund — you simply use the service until the billing period ends.

Can I access my recorded footage after cancellation?

Once the subscription is cancelled or expires, access to cloud-stored video archives is discontinued. Recordings stored in the cloud will no longer be accessible. Download any important footage before cancelling.

Can I reactivate my Ajax Cloud subscription after cancelling?

If you used 'Deactivate', you can tap 'Restore' in the Manage service menu before the billing period ends to resume the subscription. If you used 'Stop now', you cannot restore the current subscription but can activate a new subscription at any time.

Who can cancel an Ajax Cloud subscription?

For Ajax Cloud Storage (video), only PRO users or space admins who are not assigned to a PRO company can manage and cancel subscriptions. For Ajax Services / Cloud Signaling, only installers and Service Managers of the installation company can deactivate through Ajax PRO Desktop or Ajax PRO apps.

Does cancelling affect my Ajax security system?

Cancelling Ajax Cloud Storage removes video recording and cloud archive capabilities from your cameras (IndoorCam, DoorBell), but your alarm system and hub continue to operate normally. Cancelling Ajax Services (Cloud Signaling) will disable professional monitoring and alarm transmission — ensure you have alternative monitoring arrangements before doing so.

Open the Ajax App

Open the Ajax app (or Ajax PRO app if you are an installer) on your iOS or Android device and log in to your account.

Navigate to Space Settings

Tap on the space (or hub/object) associated with the Ajax Cloud subscription. Tap the gear icon to open Space Settings.

Open Extra Services

In the Space Settings menu, scroll down and tap 'Extra services' to view all active subscriptions linked to this space.

Tap Manage Service

Locate the Ajax Cloud Storage (or Cloud Signaling) subscription and tap 'Manage service' to open the subscription management options.

Choose Cancellation Type

Select one of two options: (1) 'Deactivate' — service stays active until the end of the current billing period and can be restored before then; or (2) 'Stop now' — service terminates immediately with a prorated refund for unused days back to your original payment card.

Confirm Cancellation

Tap 'Deactivate' or 'Stop now' in the confirmation pop-up dialog to complete the cancellation. For 'Deactivate', status changes to 'Services expire soon'. For 'Stop now', the service ends immediately and cannot be restored.
