Will I get a refund when I cancel?

No. Hiver's policy states that all payments for the current billing period are non-refundable. You retain access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

What happens to my data after cancellation?

Your shared inbox conversations and data are retained for 14 days after account termination. After 14 days, Hiver permanently deletes all data. Export your data before cancelling via the data export page in your Admin Panel.

Can I downgrade instead of cancelling?

Mid-term downgrades to a smaller paid plan are not available. You can only downgrade at your renewal date. You can switch to the Free plan at renewal without cancelling entirely.

Can I reactivate my account after cancelling?

Yes, you can reactivate by upgrading to a paid plan again. Do this within the 14-day data retention window to recover your existing data — after that it is permanently deleted.

How long does it take to complete the cancellation?

The process itself can take anywhere from a few minutes to several days depending on support response times. Users report needing multiple follow-ups before cancellation is confirmed. Access ends at your current billing period end date regardless of when the cancellation is processed.

What if I am not the account admin?

Only the account Admin can cancel a Hiver subscription. If you are not the admin, you need to ask your account administrator to initiate the cancellation on your behalf.

Log in as Admin

Log in to your Hiver account in Gmail. Only the account Admin can cancel — regular agents or users cannot access billing settings.

Open the Admin Panel

Click the Hiver icon (yellow icon in the top-right of Gmail) and select 'Admin Panel' from the dropdown menu.

Go to Billing

In the Admin Panel left sidebar, click on 'Billing' to open your subscription and payment details.

Click 'Cancel Subscription'

Scroll to the bottom of the billing/plan details section and click the 'Cancel Subscription' link or button. If this button is not visible, proceed to contacting support directly via live chat on the Hiver dashboard.

Complete the cancellation survey

Fill in the optional feedback/survey form explaining your reason for cancellation and submit it.

Confirm cancellation via support

Hiver typically routes cancellation requests through their support team. If prompted, respond to the live chat or email from support@hiverhq.com. Be aware they may request scheduling a retention call — you can decline and ask to cancel immediately via email.

Receive cancellation confirmation

Wait for a cancellation confirmation email. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. Export your data before the billing period ends, as Hiver deletes all data 14 days after account termination.
