Is Sympli still active?

No. Sympli permanently shut down on December 31, 2024, after nearly 10 years of operation. EastBanc Technologies closed both Sympli Handoff and Sympli Versions. The website and help documentation are no longer accessible.

Will I get a refund if I was charged after Sympli shut down?

Sympli's Terms of Use stated no refunds for early cancellation, but those terms are moot given the service closure. If you were charged after December 31, 2024, you should dispute the charge directly with your bank or credit card issuer as the service was no longer being provided.

What happened to my projects and data after cancellation?

When downgrading to the free Individual plan, projects were archived (not deleted) and remained accessible on the free tier. Full account deletion — via Profile Settings > 'Delete Account' — permanently removed all data from Sympli's servers. With the service now shut down, all data hosted on Sympli is no longer accessible.

Can I reactivate my Sympli subscription?

No. Sympli is permanently shut down and is not accepting new or returning subscribers. You will need to migrate to an alternative tool such as Figma, Zeplin, or Avocode.

Who managed the subscription if my company paid for it?

Only the account owner (billing admin) could manage or cancel a company-paid Sympli subscription. Individual team members did not have access to billing settings. For any outstanding billing issues, contact EastBanc Technologies directly.

How do I get my personal data deleted now that Sympli is shut down?

You can submit a GDPR or privacy data deletion request to privacy@sympli.io or contact@sympli.io, though response times are uncertain given the shutdown. If you previously used the self-serve 'Delete Account' button in Profile Settings, your data was already permanently removed at that time.

Sympli permanently shut down on December 31, 2024. If you are still being charged, skip to step 4. If you are researching for a historical account, the steps below reflect the cancellation process that was in place before shutdown.

Log in to your Sympli account

Go to sympli.io and sign in with your credentials. If the site is unreachable (it returns connection errors as of early 2025), proceed directly to contacting your bank.

Open Account / Billing Settings

Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner, then select 'Account Settings'. Navigate to the 'Subscription' or 'Billing' tab.

Select the Individual (Free) plan

On the subscription page, choose the 'Individual' plan at $0/month. Sympli did not have an explicit 'Cancel' button — cancellation was done by downgrading to the free tier. Confirm the plan change when prompted.

Confirm downgrade

Confirm the switch to the free Individual plan. The paid subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which it reverts to free. All existing projects are archived (not deleted) on the free plan.

Dispute charges if service is unreachable

If sympli.io is offline and you are still being charged, contact EastBanc Technologies (the company behind Sympli) or email contact@sympli.io. If no response, open a dispute with your bank or credit card issuer for charges after December 31, 2024.
