Will I lose access immediately after canceling?

No. Your paid features remain active through the end of your current billing period (shown as the 'Valid Until' date). Your account then automatically downgrades to the Free plan — no further action needed.

Can I get a refund after canceling?

Whereby does not issue automatic refunds for change-of-mind cancellations or auto-renewals. Extenuating circumstances may be reviewed case-by-case if requested within 30 days of the renewal date; invoices older than 30 days are not eligible.

Can I reactivate my subscription after canceling?

Yes. While your paid features are still active (before the Valid Until date), go to whereby.com/user/subscriptions and click 'Restart subscription' in the Plan section. If your account has already reverted to Free, you can start a new subscription through the standard signup flow.

What happens to my rooms and data when I cancel?

Your account data and rooms are preserved when you downgrade — nothing is deleted. On the Free plan you are limited to 1 room, 30-minute meetings, and up to 4 participants. You can choose which room to keep during the cancellation flow if you have multiple rooms.

Can I cancel from the iOS app?

No. The native iOS app does not support cancellation. You must open whereby.com in Safari (or another mobile browser) and follow the same web-based steps: tap the top-right menu, select 'Subscription', then 'Cancel subscription'.

How do I delete my account entirely?

Account deletion is separate from cancellation and is only available on desktop. Log in, go to whereby.com/user/profile, click 'Show more settings', then click 'Delete your account'. This removes all user data. Cancel any active paid subscription before deleting your account.

Log in to Whereby

Go to whereby.com and log in to your account. Only the Account Owner can cancel — members cannot cancel on behalf of an organization.

Open Subscription settings

Click 'Subscription' in the left sidebar navigation. On mobile browsers, tap the top-right menu icon and select 'Subscription'.

Click 'Cancel subscription'

Scroll to the bottom of the subscription details page and click the 'Cancel subscription' button.

Select a room to keep (if applicable)

If you have multiple rooms on a Pro plan without a subdomain, a prompt appears asking you to select one room to keep on the Free plan. Choose which room to retain.

Review and confirm cancellation

A confirmation screen appears showing the upcoming changes to your account, including the date your paid features expire. Review the details and confirm the cancellation.
