When does my service stop after I cancel?

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current subscription period. You retain full access to your mobile service until that date.

Will I get a refund for the remaining days in my billing period?

Nova does not typically issue prorated refunds for the unused portion of a prepaid billing period. Your service simply continues until the period expires.

Can I keep my phone number if I cancel and switch carriers?

Yes. You can port your Icelandic number to another carrier before or after canceling. Contact your new provider to initiate the number portability (númeraflutningur) process — porting out does not require canceling first.

Can I reactivate my Nova mobile subscription after canceling?

Yes, you can sign up for a new Nova mobile subscription at any time through nova.is or by visiting a Nova store. Your previous number may not be available if it has been reassigned.

What if I cannot cancel online — is there another way?

Yes. You can contact Nova customer service by phone at 519 1919, by email at nova@nova.is, or via live chat on nova.is (available daily until 22:00). You can also visit a Nova service center in person.

What happens to my data and account after cancellation?

Your Stóllinn account remains accessible after cancellation. Nova retains customer data in accordance with Icelandic and EU privacy regulations (GDPR). For data deletion requests, contact nova@nova.is.

Go to the Stóllinn customer portal

Navigate to portal.nova.is (Nova's self-service portal called 'Stóllinn').

Log in with electronic ID or SMS

Authenticate using one of three options: Electronic ID (rafræn skilríki), the Nova authentication app on your mobile device, or an SMS verification code sent to your number.

Locate your mobile subscription

From the dashboard, find the mobile subscription (farsímaáskrift) you wish to cancel.

Click 'Sjá nánar' (See more)

Click the 'Sjá nánar' button on your subscription to expand its details and management options.

Open 'Stillingar' (Settings)

Click the 'Stillingar' (Settings) button to access subscription management options.

Select 'Segja upp áskrift' (Cancel subscription)

Click 'Segja upp áskrift' to initiate the cancellation. Confirm the cancellation when prompted. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
