Can I cancel Ada mid-contract?

Ada's Customer Terms of Use do not provide a general right to cancel mid-contract for convenience. Early termination is only available for cause (e.g., material breach by Ada that goes uncured for 30 days). Otherwise you are bound through the end of your current term.

Will I get a refund if I cancel?

No. Ada's terms explicitly state that fees are non-refundable except in specific intellectual property infringement cases. Pre-paid amounts for unused months of service are not refunded upon cancellation or non-renewal.

How long do I retain access after cancellation?

Your access continues through the end of the current subscription term you have paid for. After that date, access is terminated. Ada retains your data for a limited period for legal compliance, after which it is destroyed.

How do I get my data back after cancellation?

You should request a data export before your subscription ends. Contact your Account Manager or support at help@ada.cx to export chatbot configurations, conversation history, and analytics. Once the post-termination retention period ends, Ada destroys all customer data.

Can I reactivate my Ada account after cancellation?

Yes, you can re-subscribe by contacting Ada's sales team at ada.cx. However, you would need to negotiate a new contract and pricing, and your previous configuration data may no longer be available if the retention window has passed.

What happens if I miss the 30-day cancellation notice window?

Your subscription automatically renews for another full one-year term at the same (or potentially revised) rate. At that point, you are contractually obligated for the full renewal year. You would then need to submit non-renewal notice at least 30 days before the next renewal date.

Review your contract and renewal date

Log in to your Ada dashboard at app.ada.cx and locate your Order Form or check the original contract email. Note your subscription end date — you must provide notice at least 30 days before that date to prevent automatic renewal.

Contact your Ada Account Manager

Reach out directly to your assigned Customer Success Manager or Account Manager (found in your welcome email or Ada dashboard). Inform them of your intent not to renew or to terminate the subscription.

Send written cancellation notice to legal@ada.cx

Send a formal written cancellation or non-renewal notice to legal@ada.cx (Ada Support, 46 Spadina Avenue, Suite 500, Toronto, ON M5V 2H8). State your company name, account ID, and the explicit intent not to renew. CC your Account Manager.

Request written confirmation

Ask Ada to confirm receipt of your cancellation notice in writing. Keep this confirmation for your records. Ada should acknowledge that your account will not renew and confirm the final access date.

Export your data before access ends

Within the Ada dashboard, export any chatbot configurations, conversation logs, analytics, and knowledge base content you need to retain. Ada deletes customer data after the post-termination retention window expires.
