No. You retain full access to your files until your current billing period ends. After that, your account downgrades to the free 2 GB plan and your files remain but you may be over the storage limit.

Can I get a refund if I cancel mid-cycle?

Dropbox does not offer pro-rated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations. Your paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.

What happens to shared folders and team links after cancellation?

Shared folders you own will still exist, but collaborators may lose access if the folder exceeds free-tier limits. Shared links continue to work for files within the 2 GB free limit.

Sign in to Dropbox

Go to dropbox.com and sign in to your account with your email and password.

Go to Account Settings

Click your avatar in the top-right corner and select 'Settings' from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to Plan

Click the 'Plan' tab in the left sidebar to view your current subscription details.

Cancel Subscription

Scroll down and click 'Cancel plan'. Dropbox will show you retention offers — click 'Continue to cancel' to proceed.

Confirm Cancellation

Select a cancellation reason, then click 'Confirm cancellation'. You will receive an email confirmation. Your files remain accessible until the billing period ends.
