Will I get a refund after cancelling?

No. Freshworks' Terms of Service state that fees are non-cancelable and non-refundable. The only exception is if Freshworks materially breaches its service warranty and cannot correct it within 30 days. You can contact billing@freshworks.com to inquire, but refunds are not standard.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

Your account is suspended within 24 hours of the cancellation request. All data is permanently and irreversibly deleted 14 days after the subscription end date. Export your tickets, contacts, and knowledge base before cancelling — exports can take up to 10 business days to process.

Can I reactivate my account after cancelling?

Yes, but only within 14 days of cancellation by contacting support@freshdesk.com. After that window, all data is deleted and you would need to start a completely new account from scratch.

Do add-on products cancel automatically?

No. Freshchat, Freshcaller, Freshsales, Freshservice, Freddy AI, and any marketplace apps each have separate billing and must be cancelled individually through their own admin panels.

What if I can't find the 'Cancel account' button?

The button is only visible to the Account Administrator. If you have that role and still cannot see it, email billing@freshworks.com with your Freshdesk account URL and company name to request cancellation manually.

Can I cancel partway through a billing period?

No. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Monthly subscribers may wait up to one month; annual subscribers could wait up to 12 months before the cancellation activates.

Log in as Account Administrator

Open Admin settings

Click the gear icon (Admin) in the left navigation sidebar to open the Admin panel.

Navigate to Account Details

Go to Account > Account Details in the Admin panel.

Click 'Cancel account'

Scroll to the 'Account Status' section and click the 'Cancel account' button. If this button is not visible, you may not be logged in as the Account Administrator.

Select a cancellation reason

Choose a reason for cancelling from the required feedback form. This step must be completed before you can proceed.

Click 'Request cancellation'

Click the 'Request cancellation' button to submit your cancellation request.

Confirm in the pop-up

Confirm your decision in the pop-up window that appears. A Freshdesk support agent may contact you afterward to process the cancellation.
