What happens to my data and campaigns after I cancel?

All your data — including subscribers, campaigns, automations, and reports — remains intact. Your account downgrades to the Free plan at the end of the billing cycle rather than being deleted.

What are the limits on the Free plan after cancelling?

The Free plan allows up to 500 active subscribers and 12,000 emails per month. Advanced features like priority support, premium templates, and some automation features are no longer available.

Can I get a refund when I cancel?

Refunds are only available within 30 days of the last transaction date. MailerLite does not refund unused portions of monthly or annual plans, plans purchased by mistake, or cancellations made after a new billing cycle has already started.

What happens to extra team members if I have a multi-user account?

The Free plan only allows one user. When your account downgrades, additional users are automatically removed. Make sure to reassign any critical tasks before cancelling.

Can I reactivate my paid subscription after cancelling?

Yes. You can upgrade back to a paid plan at any time from the 'Plan and billing' section in Account Settings. Your existing data will still be there.

How do I permanently delete my MailerLite account?

Cancelling your subscription only downgrades to the Free plan. To permanently delete your account, go to Account Settings and look for the 'Delete account' option. Deleted accounts have a 60-day grace period for data export or reactivation before permanent deletion.

Log in to your MailerLite account

Go to dashboard.mailerlite.com and sign in with your email and password.

Open Account Settings

Click your profile icon or account name in the bottom-left corner of the dashboard, then select 'Account settings' from the menu.

Go to Plan & Billing

In Account Settings, click the 'Plan and billing' section in the left-hand navigation.

Click 'Upgrade or downgrade'

On the Plan and billing page, find your current plan and click the 'Upgrade or downgrade' button.

Select the Free plan

In the plan selection screen, locate the Free plan option and click 'Cancel subscription' beneath it.

Provide a cancellation reason (optional)

MailerLite may display a brief survey asking why you are cancelling. Select a reason or skip if the option is available.

Confirm cancellation

Click the final confirmation button to complete the cancellation. Your account will automatically downgrade to the Free plan at the end of your current billing cycle — you will not be charged again.
