Will I lose access to my projects immediately after cancelling?

No. Your paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your team is downgraded to the Free tier and projects remain accessible within the free tier limits.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

No. Convex's terms state that all fees are non-cancelable and non-refundable for the current billing period. No partial-month credits are issued.

What happens to my data after cancellation?

If you downgrade to the Free plan, your data persists within free tier limits. If you delete your team entirely, Convex has no obligation to retain your data and may delete it.

How do I cancel an Enterprise or MSA contract?

Enterprise customers must send written cancellation notice to clientsuccess@convex.dev at least 30 days before the next billing term starts (or the deadline specified in your Order Form). Missing the deadline auto-renews the contract month-to-month.

Can I reactivate my paid plan after cancelling?

Yes. You can upgrade again at any time from Team Settings > Billing in the Convex dashboard.

Is there an early termination fee?

For self-serve Pro plans, there is no early termination fee — you simply lose access to Pro features at the end of the billing period. For MSA/Enterprise contracts with committed annual terms, you owe all remaining payments for the full committed term if you cancel early.

Log in to the Convex Dashboard

Go to dashboard.convex.dev and sign in to your account.

Select your team

Click your team name in the top-left to open the team view.

Open Team Settings

Click 'Team Settings' from the left sidebar or team menu.

Go to Billing

Click the 'Billing' section within Team Settings. Here you can view your current plan and manage your subscription.

Downgrade or cancel plan

Select the option to downgrade to the Free/Starter plan, or if no self-serve cancel button is visible, proceed to delete your team (step 6) or contact support at support@convex.dev.

Delete team to force cancellation (alternative)

If no cancel button is available: first delete all projects in the team, remove all other team members, then go to Team Settings > General and click 'Delete' to delete the team. This automatically cancels your subscription. Warning: this is irreversible and deletes all data.
